Diversity and Inclusion

Hadleys Wills and Estate Ltd are committed to promoting equality and diversity by actively recruiting a diverse group of employees based on individual merit, qualities and performance. By doing so, we aim to create an inclusive environment in which our employees feel welcomed and valued. We feel that such methodology creates an approachable atmosphere, which enhances a positive client experience.

Diversity data is collated as part of our recruitment process, and is also periodically collected at least every 2 years – the last collection being April 2025. However as Hadleys Wills and Estate Ltd is a small firm, there is a significant concern amongst the workforce that the publication of our results would identify individuals from known characteristics, thus allowing other private characteristics to become known.

The Equalities and Human Rights Commission states it is important that we do not breach workers’ confidentiality or reveal anything which might enable someone to work out information about another person which was provided in confidence. For this reason, the results of the returned questionnaires are not shown here. However, the results have been submitted to the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and will be included within their national, published results.

Professional Indemnity Insurance and Compensation Arrangements

We maintain professional indemnity insurance in accordance with ICAEW requirements to protect clients in the event of a valid claim arising from professional negligence. Eligible clients may also be able to claim from the ICAEW Compensation Fund, which provides an additional level of protection in certain circumstances.
